Mysterious man in the Goldman Sachs elevator
Words of wisdom here!

Sometimes, I consider myself very lucky to have such a supportive family. Because the things I love to do usually take me on crazy emotional rides. Lately I have been hitting a lot of walls. Things are working out with this project, he forgot about the meeting, or she didn’t bother emailing or calling to give a response all these aren’t exactly fun.
But I will remind myself to be proud of making myself vulnerable.
I know facing these rejections will only make me stronger. I know I am capable of creating something people love - I just need to be dedicated (which is sometimes tough especially when you have idea A.D.D) But I really have faith in the idea I have in mind and I just need to step up my game and start publishing the right material and gather traction.
So here is my babies step:
All of this will need to be done before the 21st May. I will report back on my progress! OK LET”S DO THIS AGATHA!
We may not be right but we are not confused. - Quote of the Week
I have always loved to listen to the Zurb Soapbox and today I came across a very interesting feature of one of the speakers - Robert Scoble.
Building a company takes time and guts. Airbnb did not had a grand success as soon as they started their site - it took them at least 1000 days to move things forward. Can you imagine how different it would be if they gave up on the 999 days? Persistance is what most of us (sometimes including me) lack of.
It’s like jumping off a cliff and building a parachute on the way down and assuming that you’re going to figure it out while you’re falling.
And I realised perhaps the lack of persistance is a sign of lack of confidence? Because if you know you will pull through you are more likely to be persistance. Only if you start to doubt yourself then every thing falls apart because you give yourself a pat on the back and say “why try so hard? It probably won’t work anyway”.
And why it is so hard to build an amazing company is because what entrepreneurism is all about — getting people to do what they don’t know they want to do. And it is hard to convince people at first.
It’s like when check-in apps, like Gowalla and Foursquare, came on the scene. At first, nobody wanted to give away their location, but now it’s like second nature to check-in.
Sometimes, we get caught up in life. As I hear from my weekend of SATC marathon with Nikki: “Life is what gets in the way of your plan”. Don’t get so caught up in the small details and keep chasing to discover who/what you are suppose to be.
My interest is generally pretty fickle. I need things to be constantly stimulating to keep me going (yea I probably have ADD). After I finish my first javascript game, I feel kinda guilty. Because I did end up buying a Objective C coding book from Amazon but struggle to even get through the first 10 pages. Now I am on to learning about what needs to be done for UX (User Experience) - cohort testing, usability testing, contextual analysis ….
Well yea I get scared of becoming a jack of all trade all the time, but sometime you just need to keep doing things - keep making things because it’s through action where you find what you are suppose to be.
So get off your butt and hustle hard.
